Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide diagnostic MRI procedures and ensure high quality care for patients. The role requires ARRT MRI certification, completion of an ARRt approved radiology program, and BLS, with 2–3 years radiology experience preferred.

You will operate Ge/Siemens 1.5/3.0 T systems, maintain patient safety, communicate clearly with patients, and support the radiology team to meet departmental standards and throughput goals.

Qualifications

• ARRT approved radiology program with two years of radiology experience.
• Graduate of an MRI degree program is acceptable.
• ARRT MRI certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Providing and maintaining care to patients during exams.
• Informing patients with full details and expectations of their procedure.
• Having knowledge and ability to perform diagnostic MRI exams on 1.5/3.0 T magnets.
• Understanding hazards in the MRI suite to ensure patient wellbeing.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Meditech, Sun Workstation, Laser Camera, Pulse Oximeter, Power Injector and related equipment.
• Meets performance expectations for customer service, teamwork and throughput.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth department operation.
