Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for weekend days at the Norfolk, VA campus. The role involves performing MRI scans, administering contrast per protocol, and ensuring patient safety screening accuracy under physician supervision.

Qualifying candidates will have ALD Radiologic Sciences or equivalent certification and ARRT MR certification, with about 1 year of radiography cross-training experience. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Responsibilities

Overview: Overview Job Description Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patients records, reports, and files. performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation. examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
