Job description

City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Weekend Days Overview:

Job Description Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Administration of MRI contrast per protocol
• Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner
• Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations
• Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources
• Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
• Maintaining patients records, reports, and files
• Performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation
• Explains examination and procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation

Education: ALD Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certification

Certification/Licensure: ARRT MR Experience 1 year x-ray experience to cross train

Sentara offers market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
