Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform general diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. Duties include patient positioning, operating radiation equipment, managing electronic radiology systems, preparing rooms and supplies, and documenting procedures.

Candidates should have an Associates Degree in Radiologic Sciences or a trade school certificate and ARRT certification.

Job Description

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $33.25 - $49.11 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
