Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures following departmental protocols and standards. The role involves operating MRI scanners, preparing patients, and documenting procedures with radiologist collaboration.

The candidate will administer IV contrast as needed, evaluate image quality, and ensure safety protocols are followed to protect patients and staff in a high‑volume radiology setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT/ARMRIT program required; MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and associated equipment per departmental protocols.
• Verify orders and consult Radiologist when there are discrepancies.
• Prepare patients for procedures with explanations and document history.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and record details.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; support life-saving procedures as needed.
• Document contrast administration and imaging results in the MAR.
