Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an MRI technologist to perform imaging with radiology leadership, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. You will verify orders, explain procedures, prepare patients, and manage IV contrast under protocol, while maintaining image quality and collaborating with physicians.

Requires graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program, ARRT certification or NMTCB with MRI registry, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and refer questions to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Prepare patients with complete explanations and document on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMR for pertinent history.
• Assume responsibility for exam from start to completion of dictated results.
• Administer IV contrast according to protocol and record type/amount.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
