Job summary

VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist TTWP to perform MRI procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification within 90 days of hire, BLS, and 1 year MRI experience; Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred. Join a dedicated imaging team serving the Northern Neck in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Graduation from a JRCNMT accredited program in nuclear medicine technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and acquire diagnostic-quality images.
• Verify patient identity and obtain informed consent as applicable.
• Maintain safety protocols including ALARA and MRI safety standards.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs during procedures.
• Document exam details in the patient’s medical record and assist with interventional MRI if needed.
