Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 12-week TTWP contract at Tappahannock. You will perform MRI procedures, select pulse sequences, and ensure patient safety under a licensed practitioner.

Requirements include ARRT-MRI or NMTCB/ARMRIT certification within 90 days, BLS, and 1 year MRI experience. Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT-MRI or NMTCB or ARMRIT within 90 days of hire.
• One year of MRI technologist experience required.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program (ARRT recognized) or JRCNMT program.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures and ensure quality of scans.
• Monitor patient safety and vital signs during procedures.
• Assist licensed independent practitioner in interventional MRI procedures.
• Maintain records and ensure ALARA principles.
• Provide patient education and mentoring of students.
