Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies according to radiologist protocols. The tech will operate the MRI scanner, prepare the room and equipment, and position patients and coils to ensure high-quality images.

Ongoing communication with patients is essential throughout the procedure. Requirements include ARRT MR certification within 2 years, 1 year of radiology technologist experience, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.
• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist required.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Licensure as Technologist (R) and (MR) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI studies following protocol established by Radiologists.
• Operates MRI scanner to produce images of consistent, optimal quality.
• Prepares scan room and equipment; positions patient, coils, and equipment as required.
• Maintains communication with patient throughout the scanning procedure.
