Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies as per established protocols. The individual will operate the MRI scanner and ensure optimal image quality while maintaining patient communication throughout the procedure.

The ideal candidate must have an ARRT MR certification within two years of hire, a High School Diploma, and at least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist. Preferred qualifications include experience as an MRI Technologist.

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.
• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist is required.
• 1 Year Experience As a MRI Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies following the set protocol established by the Radiologists.
• Operate the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality.
• Prepare scan room and equipment as appropriate.
• Position patient, coils and equipment as required.
• Maintain communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Non Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program
