Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic images under Radiologist guidance. You will educate patients on imaging procedures, protect them from radiation exposure, and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR.

The role requires ARRT certification in at least one modality within 18 months of hire, Montana licensure or eligibility, and a supportive team approach across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• ARRT certification in at least one modality within 18 months of hire; current BLS.
• Current Montana Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images as directed by a Radiologist.
• Educate, interview, screen and explain imaging and safety procedures to patients prior to imaging procedures.
• Maintain patient records in the Hospital EMR system with HIPAA-compliant privacy practices.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• May float to other departments within competency, and may be placed on-call.
• Perform quality assurance activities and participate in quality review and patient satisfaction efforts.
