Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana seeks an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images under Radiologist direction. This role requires ARRT certification, Montana licensure, and an AA/technical degree, with clinical experience preferred.

You will educate patients on procedures, ensure accuracy of medical records, follow HIPAA, participate in safety and QA activities, and may float to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months related experience.
• ARRT (R) certification and BLS.
• Montana licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce quality images as directed by Radiologist.
• Educate, interview, screen and explain imaging procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per privacy/HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow ARRT Standards of Ethics and radiation safety practices.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and comfort.
