Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an MRI Technologist to operate the MRI system, follow established imaging protocols, and assist in training new employees and students.

The role requires an ARRT MRI registry or ARMRIT, state licensure preferred, and BLS certification. One year of MRI experience is preferred; EPIC EHR and PACS experience is a plus. On-site position at West Hospital with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with ARRT accreditation preferred.
• MRI registry (ARRT) or ARMRIT required.
• BLS certification required before independent patient care at locations.
• 1 year MRI department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI system and accessories per established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; verify identity and consent.
• Prepare and position patient; monitor exams and adjust parameters as directed by radiologist.
• Participate in training, QA, and ongoing department education.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to optimize imaging workflows.
