Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The role involves reviewing patient paperwork, transporting patients, monitoring MRI equipment, and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.

You will position patients for optimal imaging views and work closely with the imaging department to meet patient needs. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited MRI program and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, plus BLS from the American Heart

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required.
American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Review and complete appropriate paperwork on every patient (exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, patient charges).
Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimal views requested by Physician.
Collaborate as a team in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
