Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prepare patients, administer contrast, and position patients for optimal imaging. You will ensure data accuracy, conduct QA on MRI equipment, and participate in accreditation efforts while supporting safety and compassionate patient care.

The role involves on-site imaging, emergency coverage, and collaboration with radiology staff to deliver high-quality, efficient care within department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MRI certification required or preferred.
• BLS/ALS certification required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures on patients; prepares patients for MRI exam.
• Administers contrast when necessary and positions patients for the scanner.
• Enter and monitor patient data during imaging.
• Performs quality assurance on MRI equipment.
• May assist with accreditation processes (ACR).
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and safety standards.
