Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services (Alliance – The Woodlands) seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in an outpatient setting, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and strict adherence to imaging protocols.

This role requires technical expertise and strong communication, with collaboration among radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate results.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
  • Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility required; ARRT (R) preferred.
  • Active state licensure (if applicable).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years MRI experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Verify patient identification, review exam requisitions, and confirm appropriate imaging protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast agents per physician orders and institutional protocols.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or discomfort during scans.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information in the PACS/RIS system.
  • Follow MRI safety policies, including screening of patients, staff, and visitors for contraindications.
  • Regularly inspect equipment for proper function; report any technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely imaging results.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current on imaging technology advancements.

Job Summary
