Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles and patient population needs.
• Must have completed an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests, verifies orders, and coordinates with Radiologist before exams.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Reviews patient history and correlates data with the exam being performed.
• Performs MRI scanning and assists during invasive procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety and reports equipment issues to supervision.
• Operates radiology systems, documents contrast administration, and preserves clean work areas.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies, including bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
