Responsibilities

General Purpose

Sets up and utilizes MRI equipment, evaluates image quality, reviews MRI registration and screening forms, assists in training, manages data, and communicates patient information. Receives training and supervision, performs scans safely and efficiently, and completes all documentation.

Essential Functions

• Identify patient service requirements and educate patients/families.
• Prepare patients and perform procedures according to orders.
• Produce high-quality images and maintain documentation.
• Maintain safety and perform equipment quality control.
• Troubleshoot equipment and train new staff as needed.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications

• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist with NYS licensure upon hire.
• ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits upon hire.
