Job summary

Maine Medical Center, part of MaineHealth, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures essential for diagnosis and treatment. You will position patients, ensure high-quality images, and adhere to safety protocols in a fast-paced radiology department.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT MRI registration preferred, and current BLS certification or completion within 30 days of start. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT MRI registration (or ARMRIT) preferred; full MRI registration expected per dept/health system requirements.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures to aid in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Position patients and optimize imaging quality while ensuring patient safety.
• Follow MRI safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness and calibration.
• Document procedures and cooperate with radiology team for optimal patient care.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist role performs various magnetic resonance imaging procedures for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
2. License/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) MRI registration preferred. Full MRI registration is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.
