Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for a PRN position in California. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality MR studies, and support daily operations including transport and supplies. The role involves training new staff and communicating with radiologists and customers.

This will be a PRN position.Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.Produces high quality diagnostic images.Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.Trains new technologist and/or PC'sPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent ExperienceRegistered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMSState LicenseLicensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.Technologists performing mid-day movesState license, as required.CPR certification.Active state driver’s license.Preferred Requirements:Associate's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceRegistry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.At Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
