Job summary

Akumin is seeking a licensed MRI Technologist for our Santa Cruz facility. This full-time role supports patient safety and the delivery of high-quality MR studies, with clear communication to radiologists and patients.

The position may include training responsibilities for new technologists and Patient Coordinators. Key duties include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images, stocking supplies, and coordinating patient transport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration
• State license
• CPR certification
• Active state driver’s license
• Associate degree or ARRT MRI registry (preferred)

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Santa Cruz facility. This will be a full time position.

Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License

Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

Eligibility for benefits will vary based on role type and hours worked.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in California is $61.74 - $73.84. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
