Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Santa Cruz is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time role. You will be responsible for patient safety, pre-screening, and producing high-quality MR images, while coordinating with radiologists and staff.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration, CPR certification, and a valid state license where applicable, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State License Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images.
• Order supplies, clean unit, assist in preparing for transport daily.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Santa Cruz facility. This will be a full time position.

Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in California is $59.63- $73.84. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
