HOURS: 24 hours: Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm, Sign-on bonus eligible

The Team:
Shields Health’s MRI Technologists support the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked clinical environment.

The Role:

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance with center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on credentialing policy.
• Participate in call rotation if required.

The Skills:
This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience. Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and excellent interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification is accepted at some locations.

Additional requirements include:

• Sitting and utilizing a computer for extended periods.
• Assisting patients with mobility difficulties.
• Participation in call rotation at some locations.
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
