Job Summary

This role involves performing a wide variety of MRI/MRA procedures, requiring independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity. The technologist is responsible for maintaining quality in their designated area and providing excellent patient care, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform MRI/MRA procedures with independence and technical proficiency.
  2. Ensure high-quality work and patient safety.
  3. Maintain equipment and participate in quality assurance programs.
  4. Provide superior customer service and adhere to professional standards.
  5. Assist in training and orienting new technologists.
  6. Complete documentation, billing, and image retrieval accurately.
Reporting and Supervision

Reports to the Lead MRI Technologist and collaborates with medical staff, nursing, and imaging departments.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of MRI experience and thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • ARRT eligibility or certification as an MR Tech.
  • Additional MR training preferred.
  • Must have or obtain BLS certification within three months of hire.
Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
