Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures per physician orders and support quality patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

You will assist in MRI department operations, ensure patient safety and comfort across age groups, and collaborate with the MRI Supervisor to maintain equipment, budgets, and timely exams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• Current ARRT registration; MRI registration required or within 6 months.
• American Heart BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• One year of imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Assist the MRI Supervisor with day-to-day operations, budgeting, equipment and staffing needs, and quality improvement.
• Assess patient development and age-specific needs; deliver compassionate, holistic care.
• Ensure safe, accurate imaging while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by a physician. This role involves day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care within a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Facilitate the operations of the MRI department.
• Assist the MRI Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the department, balancing budgetary constraints, equipment and personnel needs, quality improvement, and exceptional care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Education:Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• Certifications/Licenses:
  • Current Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • MRI registered or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Experience:One year of experience preferred.
