Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our London, KY location to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification and a strong ability to communicate with patients, radiologists, and team members. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification as applicable.
• CPR certification may be required; active state license required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Assist with supplies, unit cleaning, and patient transport prep.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists; train new technologists.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our London, KY location.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre‑screening for contra‑indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid‑day moves CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
