Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for multiple sites in North Carolina and surrounding states. You will ensure patient safety, acquire high-quality diagnostic MRI images, and assist with logistics such as supplies and transport.

Strong communication with patients and radiology staff is essential. Requirements include a High School Diploma, ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry, state license where required, CPR, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry.
• State license as required and CPR certification.
• Active driver’s license and ability to work across sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and pre-screen for contra-indications.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Prepare units, restock, and assist with patient transport.
• Communicate clearly with patients and radiologists; train new staff.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist across multiple locations.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

• Produces high quality diagnostic images.

• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS

• State License, as required.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves

• CPR certification.

• Active state driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
