Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Lexington, KY location. The role involves performing MRI scans, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images with clear communication to radiologists and patients.

Qualifications include ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry, state license where applicable, CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent; a preferred associate degree and registry in MRI are welcome. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety with pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Order supplies, clean unit, and assist with transport preparation daily.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Lexington, KY location.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.

• Orders supply, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS

• State License Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves

• State license, as required.

• CPR certification.

• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience

• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
