Job summary

CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, NE is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and ensure patient safety during scans. You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and capture detailed images for accurate diagnosis.

Ideal candidates have ARRT MRI certification, ARRT Radiography, CPR/BLS, and an associate degree or equivalent. Preference for 1-2 years MRI experience; external candidates may receive sign-on and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate degree or equivalent at hire; graduate of an accredited radiology program; CPR/BLS at hire; ARRT Radiography at hire; ARRT MRI within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI scans and operate MRI equipment.
• Maintain patient safety in the magnetic environment and monitor for comfort.
• Produce high-quality images with attention to safety and accuracy.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
• Start IVs and administer contrast per protocol when applicable.
• Maintain records for compliance and accreditation (JACHO/ACR).

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
• Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operations of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special images of specific body parts. Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
• Starts IV's and the injecting of contrast, if applicable per protocol.
• Maintains records for compliance for JACHO and ACR accreditation.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Other (2 year program) or equivalent, upon hire and
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 24 - months

Preferred

• 1-2 years MRI experience
