Job summary

CHI Mercy Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations, prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, and ensure patient safety within the magnetic environment. The role requires expert MRI proficiency, meticulous image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication for a comfortable diagnostic experience.

You will consult with Radiologists on protocols, perform QC on MRI equipment, and handle pulse oximetry, gating devices, and MRI

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI Technology Program is required.
• Oregon MRI License is required.
• ARRT Registered Technologist MRI is required.
• AHA BLS within 30 Days is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all MRI exams providing images of high quality.
• Performs special MR imaging techniques for special need patient groups.
• Understands the use of pulse oximetry, gating devices, power injector and all MRI accessories.
• Consults with Radiologist for special protocols on special imaging cases.
• Ensures MRI QC (quality control) is performed on equipment.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Performs special MR imaging techniques for special need patient groups.
