Job summary

CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, NE is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and support diagnostic imaging. You will prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, and ensure safety while capturing precise anatomical images for clinical decision-making.

Ideal candidates demonstrate expert MRI proficiency, strong attention to safety, and excellent patient communication. External candidates may qualify for a $9,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance;

Qualifications

• Assists with MRI examinations and image capture.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort in the MRI suite.
• Ensures high-quality imaging with proper positioning and protocol adherence.
• Completes documentation for accreditation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and screen for safety.
• Operate high-field MRI equipment and adjust protocols.
• Position patients and apply immobilization as needed.
• Administer IVs and contrast per protocol when required.
• Maintain records for JACHO and ACR accreditation.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
• Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operations of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special images of specific body parts. Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
• Starts IV’s and the injecting of contrast, if applicable per protocol.
• Maintains records for compliance for JACHO and ACR accreditation.

Preferred

• 1-2 years MRI experience
