Job summary

Akumin in Lexington, KY is hiring an MRI Technologist to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort, safety, and high-quality imaging. The role focuses on patient care, safety pre-screening, and precise imaging while maintaining a clean, prepared work environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, performing pre-screening for contraindications, operating MRI equipment, preparing for transport, and training new technologists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist
• CPR certification
• Active state driver’s license
• Mid-day moves: state license as required
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by ARRT (preferred)

• Ensure patient safety during MRI procedures.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Order supplies and maintain cleanliness of the unit.
• Assist in preparing for patient transport daily.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Lexington, KY location. Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc. Produces high-quality diagnostic images. Orders supply, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis. Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists. Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS State License
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable
• Technologists performing mid-day moves State license, as required
• CPR certification
• Active state driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
