Job description

Job Title: MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality MR studies, either on-site or remotely. You will communicate effectively with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in a mobile environment. When needed, you will train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening, aseptic techniques, and remote technologist oversight if required.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images, operating multiple MR systems as needed.
• Use all communication channels effectively to address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflicts.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train and orient new staff on-site and remotely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Technologist by ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMDS; MR registration required for technologists with assistant oversight.
• Certification in MRI (e.g., ARMRIT accepted per contract).
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical experience or enrollment in an accredited MRI training program for over 6 months.
• Licensed Radiologic or Magnetic Resonance Technologist if applicable.
• CPR Certification; BLS upon hire; ACLS within 90 days if applicable.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• Local travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• One year of MRI experience.
• Registry in MRI by ARRT.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients.
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
