Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist
Weekend availability required

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
  • Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare, and administer the appropriate contrast material.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as indicated.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.

Qualifications

  • 2-year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid ARRT (MR) credential.
  • Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure.
  • 2 years of diagnostic x-ray experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading/comprehending written instructions, following verbal instructions, computer, and clerical skills.
