Job Overview

Colquitt Regional Health System is hiring an MRI Technologist responsible for operating MRI equipment, power injectors, and Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Equipment within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The role involves observing all radiation safety and magnetic field safety protocols to ensure patient, coworker, and self-safety. Additional duties are assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 18-24 months experience in Radiology through an accredited program or 1-2 years of relevant work experience as a Technologist or MR Scan Technologist.
• Current Radiologic Technologist license with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for or possess a current MR Technologist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a positive attitude when dealing with radiologists, physicians, and coworkers.
• Provide patient care with safety and recognize legal implications.
• Understand hospital policies, departmental functions, and safety regulations.
• Participate in on-call duties to ensure 24-hour service availability.
• Perform technologist duties, including paperwork and patient scheduling.
• Assist and observe student technologists, providing guidance and evaluation.
• Operate MR units and power injectors efficiently, handle venipuncture and contrast media administration.
• Follow safety protocols concerning magnetic fields and safety measures.
• Complete annual WHO hand hygiene training and understand infection control and compliance monitoring.
