Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville seeks an MRI Technologist PRN to provide diagnostic MRI services. You will operate MRI equipment, adjust settings to obtain quality images, and communicate results to physicians while supporting inventory and scheduling in a busy radiology department.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT Registration, state radiologic technician license, MRI training, and Basic Life Support with at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• MRI training completed prior to start date.
• AR R T certification as radiographer.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring MRI procedures.
• Operate MRI equipment and set appropriate technical factors.
• Relay images and clinical information to physicians for interpretation.
• Assist with inventory management and patient scheduling.
• Take backup call for after-hours coverage.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring MRI procedures.Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing MRI for diagnostic procedures.Operates equipment settingappropriate technicalfactors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling.Takes backup call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage. All employees of North Florida Hospital will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date




• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date




• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)




• State Registered Radiologic Technician




• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program. Completion of MRI Training




• 6 months of related experience is required
