A leading healthcare provider is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform quality MRI imaging under physician supervision. The role involves ensuring patient safety, administering contrast, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates must obtain ARRT MR certification within two years and have at least one year of radiologic tech experience.
Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all people including staff and customers. Maintains an adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation. Performs MR Tech I responsibilities with additional competencies in Breast biopsy and/or Prostate biopsy, dual modality MR/CT Tech, or Hospital Based/Standing ED. Knowledge in: Radiologic Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.
Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under the supervision of a physician, adhering to protocol standards. Duties include but are not limited to: administration of MRI contrast per protocol, evaluating and approving patient MRI safety screening forms, understanding MRI safety zones and regulations, reviewing patient records for accuracy, evaluating implants and devices through vendor resources, liaising with physicians and support staff, maintaining patient records, performing MRI exams per protocol, reviewing imaging for accuracy and quality, explaining procedures to patients, and completing departmental documentation.
Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification within 2 years of hire.
Intravenous (IV) competency is preferred.
