Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations and ensure patient safety. The role involves administering contrast, evaluating patient screening forms, and collaborating with medical staff. Candidates must have a Radiologic Sciences education and be eligible for ARRT MR certification.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.
  • IV competency preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiologic tech experience.

Job description

Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of the MRI operational area for all individuals, including staff and patients. Ensures an adequate supply inventory for examinations. Explains procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation. Performs MR Tech I responsibilities, with additional competencies in Breast biopsy, Prostate biopsy, dual modality MR/CT, or Hospital-Based/Standing ED. Possesses knowledge in Radiologic Technology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.

Job Description

Provides quality MRI imaging to patients under physician supervision, adhering to protocol standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administering MRI contrast, evaluating patient safety screening forms, understanding MRI safety zones, reviewing patient records and implants, liaising with physicians and care staff, maintaining records, performing MRI exams, and reviewing imaging quality.

Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire. IV competency preferred.

  • ALD Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certificate

Certification/Licensure

  • ARRT or MR certification

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Radiologic tech experience.
