Job summary

Trident Health, part of the HCA Healthcare system, is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams per Radiologist protocols and maintain a safe, well-prepared imaging room. Responsibilities include scheduling, patient transport, inventory, cleaning, and adhering to safety standards for patients and staff.

The role requires ARRT MR and BLS licensure, completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, and MRI registry within 6 months of orientation. Prior MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT (MR), BLS.
• Education: AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• MRI registry required by hire or within 6 months from orientation.
• Experience as MRI Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations following Radiologist protocols.
• Operate diagnostic MRI equipment and prepare the room with necessary supplies.
• Schedule, transport patients, and order supplies; manage inventory and cleaning.
• Uphold safety measures to protect patients and staff from magnetic fields.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs MRI examinations with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist. They operate diagnostic MRI equipment and prepare the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Duties include, but are not limited to,scheduling, transporting patients, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. Technologist is responsible for the Protection patients and staff from the magnetic field, including but not limited to all safety measures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT (MR), BLS


• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred. MRI registry required at hire or within 6 months from date of departmental orientation completion.


• Experience as an MRI Technologist preferred. Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal and external customer
