Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams and support the radiology team at Trident Health in Charleston, SC. The role requires operating MRI equipment, prepping rooms, and ensuring patient safety under radiologist protocols.

Qualifications include ARRT MR and BLS licensure, with MRI registry required within 6 months of orientation. Prior MRI tech experience is preferred to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT (MR), BLS.
• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• MRI registry required at hire or within 6 months from orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations per Radiologist protocols.
• Operate diagnostic MRI equipment and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Schedule, transport patients, order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain room cleanliness.
• Enforce safety measures to protect patients and staff from the magnetic field.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs MRI examinations with protocols as outlined by the Radiologist. They operate diagnostic MRI equipment and prepare the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Duties include, but are not limited to,scheduling, transporting patients, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. Technologist is responsible for the Protection patients and staff from the magnetic field, including but not limited to all safety measures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT (MR), BLS
• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred. MRI registry required at hire or within 6 months from date of departmental orientation completion.
• Experience as an MRI Technologist preferred. Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal and external customer
