Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams under the direct guidance of a Radiologist. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and adherence to imaging standards across diverse cases.

You will provide patient care to neonatal through geriatric populations, ensuring comfort and safety while obtaining high-quality diagnostic images. BCLS certification is required upon hire, and prior MRI experience is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No prior experience required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Adhere to prescribed standards and protocols for quality imaging.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
