Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, selecting technical parameters to produce precise cross-sectional scans and support accurate diagnoses.

You will deliver patient-centered care through metal safety screening, scheduling, and education to ensure comfort. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document in EHR and PACS, and contribute to quality improvements by verifying image accuracy and patient history.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of NMTCB, ARRT (MRI), ARDMS or ARMRIT credentials obtained prior to hire date.

• Lead quality improvement by verifying image accuracy and patient history to support accurate diagnoses.

Licenses/Certifications/Registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS) also accepted.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
