Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for a full-time position at Brunswick Medical Center, joining our acute care team.

The successful candidate will perform MRI exams, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with radiology staff to deliver high-quality imaging for diagnosis and care.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R)(MR) certification required or registered within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of MR experience; acute care preferred.
• State license as applicable; NH IDTF certification and ARRT MR registration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures with quality imaging for acute care patients.
• Verify patient information and positioning for optimal results.
• Maintain safety protocols and equipment hygiene.

What We're Looking For:

• ARRT (R)(MR) or (MR) certification (registered within 6 months of hire)
• Prior acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Education:
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in MR, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
