Job summary

South Shore Health in Weymouth, MA is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the Imaging MRI team. Under supervision of the MRI Manager and MRI Team Leader, you will perform routine and advanced MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment quality.

This part-time role requires ARRT MRI certification or eligibility, BLS, and 1–2 years MRI experience preferred. You will coordinate with radiologists, prepare patients, inject contrast, and adhere to safety protocols while delivering

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Imaging program with ARRT MRI certification or eligibility.
• 1–2 years MRI experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ARRT MRI certification or eligibility within 6 months if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients, set imaging parameters, and display images.
• Perform quality control and document QA results for MRI equipment.
• Insert IVs and administer MR contrast agents safely.
• Instruct patients on MR safety and ensure protocol adherence.
• Coordinate with radiologists for protocol clarity and exam appropriateness.
• Maintain accurate patient records in PACS/Epic and ensure paperless workflow.
• Participate in safety measures and continuous education.
