Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking an MRI Safety Assistant to support MRI technologists and ensure patient safety in the MRI environment. You will help position patients, assist with transportation, prepare rooms, and handle imaging requests and scheduling while following safety procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year related work experience. Work is in a clinical MRI setting with an evening shift and regular 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience required.
• Evenings shift and clinical environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under MRI technologist, center or physician guidance.
• Assist in transporting patients and preparing imaging rooms for MRI exams.
• Schedule MRI scans and handle related electronic/paper forms.
• Perform safety screening and ensure safe MR suite practices and supplies.
