Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an MRI Technologist for its Wyoming Valley location. This role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality while carrying out imaging protocols.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification needed.
• Full proficiency in all assigned duties expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct order is obtained and patient confidentiality is respected.
• Utilize imaging protocol and optimize technical factors for safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for proper positioning and quality.
• Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures.

Knowledge of ALARA principles and patient safety protocols

Education

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology

Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study
