Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a full-time Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist for our Wyoming Valley location. This role involves performing MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional imaging services. You are expected to educate other healthcare providers as well.

Qualifications

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and (ARRT)-MR required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocol and optimize technical factors.

Exceptional technical competence in MRI procedures

Strong communication skills with patients and team members

Ability to maintain patient safety and apply ALARA principles

Proficiency in medication administration and documentation

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology
