Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a MEG/Research MRI Patient Coordinator to facilitate patient scheduling and coordination between research and clinical teams. You will ensure timely exams and accurate scheduling for MEG and Research MRI studies, acting as liaison across EPIC and radiology teams.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, radiology systems, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and coordinating patient appointments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and radiology processes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders from EPIC work basket, email and other means of communication.
• Create patient file with medical history, prior surgeries, and epilepsy etiology.
• Obtain and upload patient records from outside facilities to EPIC.
• Coordinate insurance approvals with financial clearance team.
• Explain MEG/MRI exams to patients and discuss sedation options.
