Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in New Jersey is seeking an MRI Clinical Assistant to coordinate patient care and support MRI technologists. You will greet patients in registration, escort them to the changing area and help prepare them for the exam, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills and CPR certification. Typical schedule includes overnight shifts, with emphasis on accuracy, safety and teamwork within

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• General computer skills and medical terminology necessary.
• Minimum 1-year hospital experience preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent customer relation and communication skills necessary.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet the patient in the registration area at their scheduled appointment time.
• Provide escort for the patient to the MRI changing area.
• Assist the technologists, nursing staff or Radiologist in preparing the patient for their exam.
• Review the daily MRI schedule.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to assure continuity of care.
• Complete clerical functions including copying and faxing.
• Manage supplies per department budget and par levels.
• Demonstrate EMR/PACS competency.
