Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an MRI Technologist to assist in patient care, safety, and preparation for MRI exams. The role includes screening non-MR personnel, greeting patients, and ensuring accurate workflow and documentation for each study.

Responsibilities include confirming appointments, guiding prep instructions, and maintaining supplies and equipment. Minimum requirement is a High School diploma; BLS certification may be obtained within 90 days, with hospital experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/Healthcare certification required (may be obtained within 90 days).
• 1 year of hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients by name and MRN, and guide them to proper areas.
• Review appointment and screening information; explain prep directions.
• Maintain patient flow and document completeness for technologist handoff.
• Handle CD requests and MRI study tracking logs.
• Recognize and respond to patient safety needs and emergencies.
